Honda has announced that the tenth generation 2016 Honda Civic sedan will make its world debut on September 16th at 6:15 pm PDT, direct from YouTube Space LA. The reveal of the 2016 Honda Civic sedan will also be the first-ever vehicle to be introduced at the YouTube Space LA.

Honda states that the 10th generation of the Civic sedan has received the ‘most ambitious’ remake in its 43-year history, featuring a sophisticated yet youthful design language with sporty touches.

The company says that it has ‘completely reimagined’ the 2016 Civic range, and will include the introduction of the first-ever five-door hatchback for the U.S. market. The tenth generation Civic range will include a standard sedan and coupe, and their Si performance variants, as well as a Type R high performance variant.

Honda will also be introducing a turbocharged engine in the 2016 Civic, which will be the first time turbocharging technology will be offered by it in the U.S. market. The turbocharged engine will be offered with a short-shifting 6-speed manual transmission or a new sportier and efficient continuously variable transmission (CVT). More details will be revealed during the debut.
