The Hyundai Creta has been officially revealed, and India will be the first market to receive the new global crossover. Save for some market-specific changes such as use of more chrome, the design based on the company’s ‘Fluidic Sculpture 2.0’ is identical to the China-only ix25.
The interior will be officially revealed at the vehicle’s unveiling, which is scheduled on July 21, but spyshots have revealed some of the interior features though. The range-topping Creta will feature projector headlamps w/LED positioning lamp, 17-inch Diamond Cut alloy wheels, leather upholstery, 7-inch infotainment system with integrated satellite navigation and six airbags.
Engine options offered include 1.6 Gamma Dual VTVT petrol, and U2 1.4 CRDi & U2 1.6 CRDi VGT diesel. The 1.6-litre petrol engine produces 123 PS, while the 1.6-litre turbo-diesel engine produces 128 PS. The petrol engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, while the 1.6-litre turbo-diesel engine can be had with 6-speed manual transmission or 6-speed automatic transmission.
