The Hyundai Creta has been previewed in its first official renderings. Images reveal a design similar to the Chinese-spec Hyundai ix25 which is on sale in the country since mid-2014. From the rendering, it can be said that the difference will be minimal between the two.
The renderings show slight modifications to the headlights, radiator grille and front bumper. Note the singular hexagonal radiator grille being similar to the Santa Fe Prime that was unveiled last week. The company says that the hidden (blackened) A-pillar was applied for a unique and dynamic feel. The B-pillar should also be similarly blackened, as seen with the ix25.
The interior rendering hints that it will be carried over from the ix25, albeit with some modifications. Interestingly, Hyundai’s global PR website does not show the interior, indicating that the Euro-spec version will get a different or at-least, a more premium one with gadgets like a touchscreen infotainment system. In Europe, the Creta can be expected with 1.6-litre petrol four-cylinder and 1.6-litre diesel four-cylinder engines in varying power outputs.
An European market launch is not expected until next year.
