Thanks to a Motoroids reader, the upcoming Hyundai Creta has been spied completely undisguised testing in India, where it will also have its world premiere in July this year.
The front fascia is completely like the China-only Hyundai ix25, save for the chrome finish on the upper grille. The rest of the exterior is also more or less the same as the ix25. The interior was already previewed in an official rendering earlier this month, and it will also be very similar to the ix25.
Hyundai’s first B-segment crossover will be unveiled on July 21 and go on sale around November in India. European sales are likely to commence in late 2016, after an expected official unveiling in the first half of the same year. The Euro-spec version will be packed with more safety features as required by the regional norms, and possibly built at the company’s plant in Czech Republic with more features and better quality.
In Europe, Australia and New Zealand, the sub-compact crossover should be offered with 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol and 1.6-litre four-cylinder diesel engines in varying power outputs. The 1.4-litre diesel from the second generation i20 could also be offered instead of, or alongside the 1.6-litre diesel unit.
