Hyundai has announced a high performance sub-brand ‘N’ and will officially launch it at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show (2015 IAA). With this sub-brand, the company will combine its successful motorsport experience and intensive product testing and technologies to build performance oriented cars to deliver ‘the most thrilling winding road’ experience to consumers.

The N performance division of Hyundai will utilize the company’s experience of competition in the World Rally Championship (WRC) along with investment and dedication required to create high performance variants of the company’s road-going car line-up.

The N performance sub-brand will preview the new generation of the i20 WRC at the motor show aiming to signify the company’s passion for engineering ability and performance goals. The all-new i20 WRC will be based on the new generation i20. The rally car that will be showcased will be the first prototype of the actual i20 WRC that will compete in the 2016 FIA World Rally Championship at Rallye Monte Carlo. The company informs that the vehicle is already undergoing testing and will be ready to participate in the upcoming rally championship.
