Japan: Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final Edition announced

Following the concept model‘s revealing at the 2015 Tokyo Auto Salon in January, the production model of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final Edition has finally been announced. After over two decades of presence in the market the car is finally waving goodbye with a special edition of its tenth generation model.

The front gets a full gloss black grille. There are five exterior colour choices and two roof colour (black and white) choices, for a dual-tone paint scheme. There is “Final Edition” emblem on the trunk and lettering on the serial number plate. Interior features include Recaro leather seats and red stitching on the steering wheel, gear shift knob, and parking lever. The infotainment system displays “Final Edition” when started.

Under the hood, there’s a 4B11 type 473 hp 2.0-litre four-cylinder MIVEC turbocharged petrol engine which is mated to a GSR 5-speed manual transmission. There are 18-inch BBS forged lightweight aluminum wheels with dark tone paint wrapped on 245/40 tyres.

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final Edition is now available for pre-order in Japan, with availability limited to only 1,000 units. Market launch of the car is scheduled for August, with a tax included sticker price of ¥4,298,400
