Jeep has revealed the Jeep Renegade Hard Steel concept vehicle that combines off-roading adventure and digital entertainment using modern technology. The show car created by Jeep in collaboration with FCA’s in-house tuner Mopar, is based on the Renegade Traihawk.
The prototype features a Brushed Steel exterior contrasted by matte black coloured grid, roof bars, side rubbing strips, hood scoop, fenders, bumpers and 16-inch alloy wheels. Other exterior enhancements include Mopar grille, opaque black mirror covers, black running board, and towbar. Rugged off-road performance is ensured by larger Goodrich All Terrain tyres, raised suspension and a “Trailhawk”-engraved skid plate.
The Brushed Steel theme is carried in the cabin as well. The theme colour is featured on the gearbox, frames of the AC vents, glove compartment and speakers. Light grey tone stitching of the seats, the door panels and the Trailhawk logo on the headrests are among the additional interior details of the show car. The Frau Century lead-coloured leather upholstery further enhances the interior appeal.
The towbar is connected to a trailer which is one of the most appealing features with the concept vehicle. The trailer features Wi-Fi internet hotspot developed by Mopar, and a big touchsreen display that shows all the Uconnect Live infotainment system features including Deezer (for internet music), TuneIn (for internet radio), Reuters (for news), Tom Tom Live (for real time traffic) as well as Facebook and Twitter (for social networking). Regardless of whether the concept vehicle makes it to the market or not, its trailer with the big touchscreen display will be available from June on Renegade model.
The Jeep Renegade Hard Steel concept vehicle will be unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show in March.
