The Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce Roadster has been confirmed to be unveiled at the 65th Annual Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, says a new report from Autocar. The exotic event is scheduled to happen on 15 August.
The Superveloce variants are known to be more nimble and aerodynamic for an ultimate driving performance. The interior turns basic with unnecessary elements being stripped-out to save weight.
We already know how the SV Roadster will look like, thanks to a leak earlier this month that previewed the variant in Blu Glauco colour. Besides revealing the exterior, it revealed almost all the important technical specifications.
The Aventador SV Roadster will sport an enhanced version of the 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine offered in the standard variant, with power output bumped up to 750 hp – same as the Aventador SV coupe. This engine produces 515 kW (690 hp) and 690 Nm of torque on the standard variant.
Weight saving measures make the variant 50 kg lighter bringing down the dry weight figure to 3,472 lbs (1,575 kg). Its removable carbon roof weighs 13 lbs (6 kg).
The Aventador SV Roadster will be limited to 500 units, 100 less than the Aventador SV coupe. Lamborghini is already accepting orders for the extreme variant of the convertible version.
