A report released last week said said that the Lamborghini Huracan’s convertible version will debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in March. But now Autovisie claims in its just-released report that Lamborghini has confirmed to it that the open-top version will be unveiled at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show (2015 IAA) in September.
The convertible verson is likely to feature specifications similar to the coupe. The coupe is offered with a 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 engine that churns out 449 kW (602 hp) and 560 Nm of torque. The engine comes linked to a 7-speed LDF dual-clutch transmission. An all-wheel drive system channels power to the wheels.
The Huracan coupe does 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and has a top speed in excess of 325 km/h.
What’s more interesting than the engine specifications, is on whether Lamborghini will equip the convertible version with a soft-top or a hard top. The Ferrari 488 Spider will come with a hard top, just like its predecessor 458 Spider. The Lamborghini Huracan Spyder’s predecessor was the Gallardo Spyder and it was a soft-top convertible.
Lamborghini may reveal the Huracan Spyder this month before official debut in September. The 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show will also host world debut of the Aventador Superveolce Roadster, the report concludes.
