Lexus has announced that it will unveil two updated models at this year’s Pebble Beach automotive week, running up to the Concours d’Elegance. The event is scheduled to be held at 7 pm on August 13.
Although no details have been revealed about which models would receive the update, we expect the Lexus LX 570 facelift to make its debut.
The Lexus LX 570 facelift will go on sale as in North America and Europe for MY2016. The design of the SUV is inspired by the latest Lexus vehicles with the front fascia featuring a dominating ‘Spindle’ grille, swept back LED headlamps, stacked fog lamp units and L-shaped daytime running lamps.
On the sides, the facelifted model will feature a new alloy wheels, tweaked D-pillar and foot-steps. The rear will incorporate angular tail lamp units with a larger spoiler and chrome embellishments.
The interiors will feature added wood and chrome surfaces, and a new information cluster. A new 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel and a large ‘Enform’ infotainment display with a controller mounted on the centre tunnel round up the visual changes.
The Lexus Saftey System+ is said to make its debut on the new LX 570 adding driving aids like Pre Collision System (PCS), Automatic High Beam (AHB) and Lane Departure Alert (LDA). A heads-up display and Radar based Cruise Control could also be offered on the SUV.
The 5.7 liter V8 engine is said to be carried over with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a 4WD system coupled as standard.
