Jaguar has announced that it will build an exclusive special edition of its first production crossover Jaguar F-Pace that made its world debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show (2015 IAA). Dubbed as the F-Pace First Edition, the special edition will will be limited to 2,000 units globally and 200 of these will be reserved for the UK.
The F-Pace is based on Jaguar’s new Lightweight Aluminium Architecture and is an evolution of the CX-17 concept that was unveiled at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The First Edition will be built by the company to celebrate the CX-17 concept that received an overwhelming response from the public.
The F-Pace First Edition is even more close to the CX-17 concept in terms of styling. It features the Caesium Blue exterior colour scheme originally seen on the concept. The exterior look is further enhanced with full-LED headlamps, the signature LED ‘J’ blade Daytime Running Lights, 22-inch Double Helix Alloy Wheels finished in Grey with contrast inserts and red brake callipers. It also features the S model body kit as standard.
The interior features Sports seats in Houndstooth embossed Windsor Leather, Gloss Black trim inserts with the typical British Houndstooth pattern and special carpet mats. It also features InControl Touch Pro infotainment system, configurable interior mood lighting, panoramic roof and illuminated metal tread plates amongst others.
The F-Pace First Edition will be available with two engine options – a 300 PS (296 hp) 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine and a 380 PS (375 hp). Both engines come exclusively paired with 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system. The petrol model won’t be available in the UK, while the diesel model has been priced at £65,275 and is available for order now, with deliveries scheduled to commence in Spring/Summer 2016.
