Lotus unveils the new 2015 Exige 360 Cup

Lotus has taken the wraps off the limited edition Exige 360 Cup which will have a limited production run of 50 units.

Based on the Exige V6 Cup, the new Exige 360 Cup gets new lightweight panels along with an increase in power. It features the use of customised front access panel with a lighter tailgate and louvered panel. The 360 Cup boasts of a distinctive design with an optimised aero package that features a front splitter, rear diffuser and wing coupled with a flat underside producing 42kg of down force at 160 km/h (100 mph).

The lightweight sports car employs a stiff bonded aluminium chassis and a track oriented 2-way adjustable double wishbone suspension all around. The 360 Cup is offered with 4-dynamic driving modes like drive, sport, race and off along with launch control.

It will be available in four exterior colour options – Metallic White, Metallic Grey, Metallic Black and Metallic Silver. The roof, front access panels and louvered tailgate will feature a stealth matt black finish. The interiors can be specified with red alcantara as an option as well as features like Ohlins race dampers, adjustable anti-roll bars, electrical cut-off, FIA carbon seats, removable steering wheel and air conditioning.

The Exige 360 Cup produces an extra 9.8 hp (10 PS) of power when compared to the 3.5-litre V6 engine that produces 345 hp in the V6 Cup. It also incorporates a free flowing induction and sports exhaust system. With the weight being kept low at just 1,130 kg, the sports car delivers a pure driving experience. The Lotus Exige 360 Cup is now on sale in the UK with prices starting at £62,995 MSRP.
