The McLaren 675LT (Long Tail) has been partially revealed in a leaked image that surfaced on the web ahead of the vehicle’s official debut in March.
The leaked image reveals the rear three quarters of the Long Tail version. The 675LT features unique alloy wheels, orange brake callipers, distinctive diffuser, vented rear fenders and bespoke lightweight titanium exhaust system with two circular tailpipes positioned below the Longtail Airbrake.
The McLaren 675LT sports a twin turbo 3.8-litre V8 engine that produces 675 PS (666 bhp) and 700 Nm of torque. The Longtail treatment (referring to the airbrake) helps the 675LT to get a 40% increase in downforce. Thanks to a number of weight reduction measures, the 675LT will weigh lower than the 650S coupe. It will be the most powerful car in the McLaren Super Series range which currently comprises of the 650S and the Asia-only 625C.
Following its debut at the 85th Geneva Motor Show on 3rd March 2015, the McLaren 675LT will launch later this year in the market as a more track focused alternative to the McLaren 650S Coupé and McLaren 650S Spider. The 675LT will be sold as a coupe only. Deliveries are scheduled to commence later this year.
