German Tuner M&D exclusive cardesign has tuned the BMW 650i coupe to produce 510 hp.
In the exterior, the 6-Series model has been equipped with a PD6XX widebody kit sourced from Prior Design unveiled at the Essen Motor Show earlier this year. The kit includes new set of bumpers, revised side skirts, extended fenders, new rear diffuser, canards and a ventilated hood.
The standard 650i’s engine produces 445 hp and 650 Nm of torque but the M&D exclusive cardesign tuned 650i’s engine produces 510 hp and 750 Nm of torque, thanks to an optimized ECU and a sports exhaust system. There’s also a set of 21-inch forged wheels from Rennen Forged to add to the sportier stance of the coupe.
More information on the customization is available in the press release below.
GOLDZILLA – BMW 650i mutates into a M6 broad-construction monster! – Press Release
The specialists of M&D exclusive cardesign present at the end of the year a very special example of their skill. Based on a current BMW 650i from the F12/F13 series, they created the breath-taking broad-construction version that outperforms any M6. For the powerful transformation of the BMW 650i, M&D installed a special PD6XX-wide-body kit.
The technicians achieve the considerable increase in width at the front axle by new mudguards and at the rear axle by massive new side walls. The front and rear are connected by a set of wide side sills incl. swords. At the front, M&D installs a completely bumper with lateral flaps and a spoiler sword. Additionally, they give the 650i the performance kidneys of its big brother M6 and remove the BMW logo on the motor cowl. To enable the used-up hot engine air to escape, the Dinslaken tuners replaced the serial cowl of the 650i with the PD6XX one with special air outlets.
The rear area was also entirely redesigned, thanks to a completely new rear bumper with integrated diffusor and a rear flap spoiler. All changes to the car body are perfectly presented with a special full coat of paint in mineral white metallic, with M&D painting some parts, such as the front spoiler lip, incl. flaps, the rear diffuser, the roof and the rear flap spoiler, in a glossy black for better distinguishing them. Conversion and installation of the car body package were performed under precise observation of quality of work and the corresponding gap sizes.
This conversion perfectly matches the refined specially produced three-part RENNEN FORGED light-weight metal wheels.
The R-55 wheel of forged aviation aluminium not only convinces with its low weight, but additionally with its individual finish. With matte-golden stars, outer beds in a glossy gold paint and the visible screws in high-gloss black, the wheels are exclusive eye-catchers. For perfect looks, M&D installed the RENNEN FORGED wheel rims without track plates in an impressive combination of 10×21 inch in front with 255/30R21 and 11.5×21 inch with 295/25R21 Continental Sport Contact 5 tyres in the rear.
These wheel rims cover brake callipers individually painted red, which also show the famous M script. For the wheel/tyre combination to end precisely to the millimetre with the wheel house edges, and to continue to use the adaptive drive function, the tuners lowered the 650i chassis with special sports springs.
M&D exclusive cardesign increases the output of the 650i drive by an individual optimisation of the motor software on the test bench to approx. 510 PS and a maximum torque of nearly 750Nm. The engine compartment was visually improved, and the engine cover is now painted in three colours – racing red, deep black and white – after the treatment. To ensure that the conversion sounds as powerfully as it looks, a specifically produced sport exhaust system with two black-chrome-plated sharp, diagonally cut and slightly offset 80 mm end tubes each, as well as a pre-muffler replacement by X-Pipe was installed.
In addition to the visual changes to the outside, M&D also applied a comprehensive redesign to the inside. The BMW M-technology leather steering wheel was padded for better control and covered with Nappa, smooth & punched leather.
The steering wheel bracket and the switching rockers were painted in red, as were the door openers and the start/stop button. The tuners refined the decorative strips in glossy black, combined with a red ornamental stripe.
