Mercedes-Benz has announced a new concept car for the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show (2015 IAA). The new show car is called Mercedes-Benz Concept IAA, and the ‘IAA’ in its name refers to ‘Internationale Auto Ausstellung’ which is commonly spoken as Frankfurt Motor Show or IAA.
The teaser reveals a part of the concpet car’s rear-end, including some portion of the back glass, tailgate and tail lamps. The design revealed in the teaser image suggests that the concept draws some inspiration from the Mercedes-Benz F 015 Luxury in Motion concept that was unveiled at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January. However, while the F 015 Luxury in Motion was technological research oriented, the Concept IAA could be a design study for the brand’s future cars.
Mercedes-Benz will present around 100 vehicles at the 2015 IAA, including the 2016 S-Class Cabriolet and 2016 C-Class Coupe and their respective AMG variants. Before its world debut at the German motor show, the Mercedes-Benz Concept IAA will be previewed to select audience at the Mercedes-Benz Media Night on 14 September at 7:30 p.m. CEST.
