The Mercedes-Maybach Pullman has been officially revealed ahead of its debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. Built upon the latest-generation S-Class, the Pullman is 6.5 metres long, about 1.3 metres longer than the S-Class long-wheelbase.
The height has been increased by over 100 mm than the standard S-Class for providing additional headroom. The luxury limousine is powered by a 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12 engine that delivers 530 hp and 830 Nm of torque.
The rear compartment of the Pullman consists of two executive seats facing the direction of travel and two additional seats facing the backwards. The additional seats can be excluded on request. A central panel divides the left and right seats with armrests and a glass storage which can hold a champagne bottle too.
Interior is upholstered throughout in leather. The extra 60 mm headroom allows easier access inside the car. There are three analogue instruments in the roof liner for keeping the passengers in the rear informed of the outside temperature, speed and time.
A glass partition provides privacy to the passengers in the rear, which can be lowered electrically or changed from transparent to opaque with touch of a button. There’s a 16:9 format 18.5-inch display monitor in front of the partition which can be extended electrically. The Burmester 3D surround sound system has been technically and aesthetically optimized.
The Mercedes-Maybach Pullman can be had as a full armoured model also. The price range of the unarmoured model starts at around €500,000. Deliveries for the unarmoured models will start in early 2016.
