The Mercedes Benz SLS AMG convertible has been spotted testing. There doesn’t seem to be much of a difference visually between the SLS AMG coupe and the SLS soft-top convertible, but the convertible could get conventional doors unlike the coupe’s gull wing doors.
The SLS soft-top convertible could get the SLR convertible’s powered soft-top. The underbody and suspension of the car would be tweaked to compensate for the lack of a permanent roof. The car is expected to launched by mid- 2011
The Mercedes Benz SLS AMG convertible could retain the SLS coupe’s 6.2 liter V8 engine that produces 563 bhp and churns out 630Nm of torque. The 7-speed dual-clutch semi automatic transmission from AMG would be carried over too.
