Mitsubishi Motors had previously released a teaser mentioning that they will have two world debuts at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show. Now the company has confirmed these dual debuts will be of the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport and the 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage.
Not much information has been disclosed about the two vehicles. Mitsubishi only states that “Both vehicles are rooted in the brand’s principles of unmatched value, attractive pricing and industry leading new vehicle and powertrain warranties.” It also goes on to mention that the cars “feature new designs which bring a unified look to the Mitsubishi lineup.”
What is reported is that, the Outlander Sport (also known as the ASX) will be a new generation and is likely to draw heavy inspiration from the eX concept (pictured here) that was unveiled some time back at the Tokyo Motor Show. An electric version of the crossover is also highly probable.
The 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage facelift is expected to be significantly updated with changes to the powertrain and chassis. Nothing more can be said as of now, but further details are expected to come in when the show opens its doors on November 17.
