Audi has announced the Audi RS 6 Avant performance and Audi RS 7 Sportback performance editions for Netherlands. The performance edition takes the madness of the RS 6 Avant and RS 7 further with technical and visual upgrades.
A perfoMatt titanium colour has been used for the frame of the Singleframe grille, the front spoiler and the lateral flaps in the air inlets, door mirrors, window surrounds and the top edge of the rear diffuser. The RS 6 Avant’s roof rails also feature matt titanium finish. Inside, RS sports seats are standard. Seats in black and blue colour combination can be opted for, with the RS performance design package. This package includes Alcantara/leather combination seat upholstery.
Coming to the technical aspects, the performance edition features the same 4.0-litre TFSI twin-turbo V8 petrol engine from the standard RS variant. The power output has been bumped up from 412 kW (560 PS) to 445 kW (605 PS). The maximum torque remains the same – 700 Nm, but can be increased temporarily to 750 Nm using overboost function. The standard eight-speed tiptronic automatic transmission has been designed for maximum sportiness in the performance edition.
The Audi RS 6 Avant performance and Audi RS 7 performance clock 0-100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds, 0.2 second faster than the standard RS variant. Similarly, 0-200 km/h acceleration time has also been reduced by 1.4 seconds, to 12.1 seconds. Top speed still remains electronically limited to 250 km/h, but can be increased to 280 km/h and even 305 km/h with the optional dynamic package.
The Audi A6 Avant performance and Audi RS 7 Sportback performance are priced at €155,590 and €167,620 respectively.
