Bentley is bringing a new Ferrari and Aston Martin rivaling two-seater sports GT concept car to the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, reveals a new report on Autocar.
The report sheds light on a number of details about the GT concept. The concept car is likely to be based on the Volkswagen Group’s MSB platform. An Audi-sourced 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 which has been recently introduced on some of the Bentley models, is likely to be powering this vehicle. This should allow the car to hit a top-speed of 200 mph (320 km/h).
As per the report, the GT is expected to be positioned besides the Continental GT. If production is confirmed, the development will continue in Bentley’s Crewe studio. However, the market launch is not expected to happen until 2018 as the company’s additional production capacity will probably be soaked up by the upcoming Bentayga SUV which is likely to see a high demand in the U.S., China and other key markets.
If the production is given the green signal, the British luxury automaker’s product portfolio would then extend to five unique models.
