Nissan has revealed that it will debut the new NP300 Navara at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Set to take forward its heritage of manufacturing robust light commercial vehicles the new NP 300 will be the latest to join the ranks at Nissan, official partners of the UEFA Champions League.
However nothing specific has been mentioned by the manufacturer. The new NP300 will feature a tough build while being practical to meet various needs of businesses. It is also being said that it may also feature technologies that debuted in Nissan Crossovers earlier.
Currently in its twelfth generation which was launched last year in Thailand, the design on the NP300 adopted a more premium look with a new grille and chrome embellishments. It also featured a dynamic character line running across the bodywork and was available in a signature ‘Earth Bronze’ paint scheme among other standard options. Other exterior features included LED daytime running lamps and turn signals in the door mirrors.
The interiors also received an upgrade with the introduction of higher quality materials and chrome trim on the dashboard. It featured a high resolution TFT infotainment system with navigation along with radio and fuel economy indicator. The suspension system was also up-rated with high strength leaf suspension engineered to ‘take punishment’.
Nissan claims that the new NP300 will feature increased economy with car-like efficiency and refinement setting a new benchmark in the pick-up market. The Nissan NP300 Navara in the UK is currently powered by a 2.5 litre dCi in two states of tune producing 144 hp (106 kW) and 190 hp (140 kW). Also a 3.0 litre V6 dCi engine is offered making 231 hp (170 kW) of power.
