The new Opel Astra Sports tourer has been spied at numerous locations & is all set to make its debut at the Paris Motor Show in October. The new Astra was earlier launched in a 5 door hatchback form & this is the 2nd addition to the Astra family to be followed by a 3 door hatchback, a coupe convertible & a 4 door sedan.
This wagon version of the Astra is highly inspired by the larger Insignia Sports Tourer & is longer than its hatchback version which translates into a massive boot.
The car has similar engine options to the hatchback version, so you would get petrol motors ranging from 1.4 liter naturally aspirated unit to a 1.6 liter 180bhp turbo. There would also be a 2.0 160bhp diesel engine.
The car is expected to be sold in the US under the Buick brand & of course under the Vauxhall brand in Britain.
