The exterior of the Peugeot 308 GTi has been fully revealed in a set of undisguised images, courtesy of Tevas from Caradisiac forums. Apparently, there are only a few changes exterior changes on the GTi (from the 308 GT). Noteworthy changes at the front include new upper grille and air dam grille, and addition of a lip spoiler.
On the sides, there are new black alloy wheels with what appears to be grey accents. One of the major upgrades on the GTi is different tyres and brakes. The GT model sports Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tyres of 225/40R18W size. The GTi model gets 235/35ZR19 tyres, most possibly the Michelin Pilot Super Sport ones. This also indicates that the GT model features 19-inch wheels. Another GTi-exclusive feature is beefier brakes with large red ‘Peugeot Sport’ labelled brake calipers. Changes at the rear include circular dual exhaust pipes and addition of a rear diffuser.
The Peugeot 308 GTi is expected to sport the 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine from the RCZ R. The power output would be somearound around the 270 hp mark. It will most likely debut at this year’s Goodwood Moving Motor Show on Thursday, 25 June.
