A fresh report from Bloomberg says that Porsche is considering an all-electric car to expand its lineup to seven models. At the annual press conference, Matthias Muller, President and Chief Executive Officer of Porsche, said that the seventh model line will be introduced in the not-too-distant future and would hit the market by 2020.
The sportscar maker is mulling a model between the 911 and the 918 Spyder, says the report.
The report sheds light on the company’s ideology for moving forward with the brand’s development. Porsche is a performance car brand and wants to focus on the same. While other automakers are differentiating themselves on the market by their their infotainment and futuristic automated driving features, the the Stuttgart-based sportscar maker wants to concentrate on engine development and handling, suggests the report.
