A Porsche pickup truck? No, thanks

Porsche Cayenne pickup truck

When Porsche launched the Cayenne SUV, hardcore enthusiasts were infuriated with the brand deviating from making purebred sports cars/coupes. Later when Porsche introduced the 4-door Panamera, some of them shifted to supporting Lamborghini, only to find out they too were preparing a competitor by the name Estoque.

It’s not very hard to imagine what would these folks say when they see a Porsche pickup truck.

Here are some crazy CGIs of what a Porsche pickup truck could look like. No, don’t worry, Porsche will not be building pickup trucks, these pictures are just a talented artist’s wildest fantasies.

The first concept is by Nouphone J. Bansasine, the world famous designer who was behind the Volvo SC90 Coupe concept car. This pickup truck concept has been christened, ‘TranSport’. The styling of the pickup is sleek and gorgeous. The way the designer has rendered the design elements, typical of a Porsche in this concept is truly splendid. Especially the way the rear tail lamp fits into the truck’s bay.

The second concept (pictured), though tamer than the first concept, is an inch closer to reality. Penned by the designers at Xenatec Group, a German company specializing in exotic car modifications. This design concept looks like a two door pickup truck based on the Cayenne SUV. To tell the truth this concept looks like a cheap Mahindra pickup truck after a cosmetic surgery. Even otherwise you still want one, Porsche wouldn’t build you one, but Xenatec just might, if you can afford the moolah.

It’s terrible that people are against Porsche making the best SUV in existence. Really, it’s more like a crossover. I wouldn’t think Porsche would make a truck, because they are all wrong for any pleasurable driving. However, if Porsche did make a truck, I’m sure it would be the best truck ever. However, again, trucks should not cost more than their functional worth, as in that a truck is used for work and will get scratched. It doesn’t seem like Porsche would make a civilian truck, does it? Hell, the mojority of those concepts are not all that much a true truck. Also, if you drive a full-sized truck for no reason; if you just got it to define youself as someone that drives a huge truck for no good reason (maybe you like to look like an out of control, terror inflicting, dangerous, bad ass)… Well, you should just kill youself. Why? Because you a piece of crap. Think about it. There was no reason to buy that big, dumbass truck. You got it because you were fantasizing about other people seeing you driving it. What sort of motivation to choose a certain vehicle is the premise of people you don’t know and what they may or may not be thinking of you with your truck? Why are you a gigantic tool? Think about it.
