The Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 concept that was unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show in March received a great response and is said to be under consideration for production. According to a report from Top Gear, the production model could be all-electric. The report says that Bentley CEO Wolfgang Durheimer has announced that the company is evaluating “two new models that would fit perfectly into the portfolio”. And these two models wouldn’t be a replacement for any existing car.
Mr. Durheimer said that there are two options. The first is, he said, “taking the very best of Bentayga, and making an even more performance-enhanced version”. The second option is production version of the Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 concept.
“The customer response to EXP 10 Speed 6 was phenomenal, and we want to build on this and make it a reality,” Mr. Durheimer said.
“This would be a truly exciting direction for Bentley to go in, and we are seriously considering alternative powertrains if this does become reality. Maybe even full electric.”
The British exotic automaker’s CEO is considering around a 400-500 bhp power output for the production version of the Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6, as per the report. An earlier report said that it is planned to be launched in 2019 and will have a coupe version follow it in 2020.
