PSA Peugeot Citroen has entered into a partnership with Bollore for the production of the Bluesummer electric vehicle. The the four-seat cabriolet designed by Bollore has an urban driving range of 200 km on single charge. It will be built at at PSA Peugeot Citroën plant in Rennes, beginning September 2015. Both companies will also work on low-emission internal combustion vehicles in future.
The production will be limited to 15 vehicles per day, with the maximum production figure capped at 3,500 vehicles per year. Both companies will also cooperate in the area of car sharing – initially in Europe and later worldwide via a new joint venture. Until now, Bollore has designed and developed several EVs, including the Bluecar, Bluebus and the Bluetram. It also operates an EV carsharing network in France and some global markets.
