Renault has introduced two new models in the Megane Renaultsport line-up. The new Megane 275 Cup-S and Megane 275 NAV have been introduced to offer hot hatch enthusiasts the ‘thrills of the multi award-winning high performance Megane’ at an even more economical price. Prices start from £23,935 for the 275 Cup-S model.
The 275 Cup-S model features the proven Cup Chassis pack with a mechanical limited slip differential and four-pot brake callipers along with firmer springs and damper setup. Styling features include Renaultsport F1-style front blade and rear diffuser in gloss black, extended wheel arches and side protection mouldings and a Renaultsport extended rear spoiler intended to increase downforce with optimum aerodynamics. It features 18-inch ‘Tibor’alloys wheel sporting a matt black finish with Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tyres. It can be specified with a 19-inch alloy wheel setup.
The interiors include a 4x20W radio and CD player with bluetooth and AUX connectivity, Renaultsport Dynamic Management system, Renaultsport analogue rev counter, leather Renaultsport steering wheel, three-mode air conditioning along with the drilled aluminium pedals and cruise control.
The 275 NAV model builds on the features of the Cup-S variant and will be more suited to everyday road driving. It will be underpinned by the standard ‘Sport’ chassis and will feature standard 18-inch ‘Tibor’ wheels and Dunlop Sport Maxx tyres setup. The 275 NAV model can be opted with the Cup Chassis Pack for enhanced performance.
The 275 NAV model will feature Renaultsport Leather Pack, 4x35W sound system, R-Link 2 infotainment system (with satellite navigation), dual-zone climate control, rear parking sensors with camera and automatic lights and wipers amongst others.
Both models will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 275 hp of power and 360 Nm of torque. The Euro 6-compliant engine will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission with ratios specifically chosen to maximise performance. It can sprint from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 6.0 seconds and go further to hit a top speed of 158 mph (254 km/h).
