After readying the Kadjar compact crossover for 2015 Geneva Motor Show debut, Renault’s next big project is a new crossover. The company is currently developing a new seven-seat crossover that will have design and styling cues from the Kadjar and Captur. The new SUV could share its mechanical underpinnings with the Nissan X-Trail which is based on the Renault-Nissan Alliance’s Common Modular Platform (CMF) just like the Qashqai and the Kadjar.
Both four-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive will be available on the new crossover. It is expected to arrive in 2017 and will compete with the Nissan X-Trail, Hyundai Santa Fe, Kia Sorento, Hyundai Santa Fe and the likes.
