Renault has teased the Talisman on Twitter yet again. The second interior teaser reveals the car’s seat and headrests, and the neat stitching on them.
Like the new infotainment system’s multi-function rotary control, the brown seats and stitching show resemblances to the Espace crossover MPV. Describing the car’s interior, the company says in French, “Votre nouvelle zone de confort”, which translates in English to “Your new comfort zone.”
As reported earlier, the Laguna- and Latitude-replacing premium sedan will be completely different. It will be underpinned by the Renault Nissan Alliance’s CMF (Common Module Family) platform – CMF-C/d. The D-segment contender will be equally targeted at Asia, in South Korea where the company is strong, and at Europe.
The Renault Talisman will be unveiled by Carlos Ghosn – CEO Renault Group and Laurens van den Acker – SVP Corporate Design, on 6 July at 2.30PM (CET) during a press conference in Chantilly (France). The new sedan will go on sale in France and other European first markets later this year. Just like the Espace though, this one too won’t be sold in the UK and Ireland.
