Codenamed 830L, the 2011 Toyota Yaris debuts in Japan in the coming months and could reach European shores as early as January 2011.
The car is less than four meters in length and retains its existing dimensions. The design of the model, as Woody’s rendering suggests, could use styling cues found on the Toyota iQ.
As the Yaris is extremely popular in Japan, Toyota will offer the 2011 Yaris with four engines that you can choose from. Displacement ranges from 1.0 to 1.4-liters and CVT options will also be offered.
Theories of Toyota planning cheap hybrid vehicle using the Yaris is very much in the spotlight. If this is the truth, expect the Yaris to drive like a Prius but with less refinement. It will be several thousand dollars cheaper than the Prius and have less interior space and comfort.
