Seat UK has announced that it will introduce an entry-level SE Technology Business Edition model in the 2016 Seat Leon range. The variant will be aimed at business drivers seeking value, style and quality from their vehicles. The SE Technology Business Edition model will be initially offered in the 2016 Seat Leon ST (estate) while bookings for the Seat Leon SC (hatchback) version will commence in early 2016.
According to Seat, the new SE Technology Business Edition ‘really means business’ featuring comprehensive equipment, improved residual values and drivetrain options offering a compelling package for fleet businesses. The new variant offers a Technology Pack and a Convenience Pack designed to make the ownership experience easier for company car owners.
The Technology Pack includes LED headlamps, adaptive cruise control and rear parking sensors. It also features an addition of a DAB audio system with integrated satellite navigation. The Convenience Pack has been designed to offer increased utility with features like rain sensors, auto dimming rear view mirror and automatic headlamps.
The business edition will be offered with two engine options- a 1.6 litre TDI diesel engine or a 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine. The 1.6-litre four-cylinder TDI engine produces 110 PS (108.4 hp) of power and 250 Nm of torque. The 1.6-litre engine returns 83.1 mpg (29 km/l) in combined cycle, with emissions of 102g/km of CO2.
The 2.0-litre turbo TDI engine produces 150PS (147.9 hp) of power and 320 Nm of torque. The 2.0-litre engine returns 68.9 mpg (24 km/l) in combined cycle, with emissions of 106g/km of CO2. The 2016 SEAT Leon ST SE Technology Business is priced at £20,545 with the 1.6 TDI engine and at £20,650 OTR with the 2.0 TDI engine.
