Seat has a teased a new concept car – the Seat Leon Cross Sport Cross.
The concept’s sketch suggests that it will be based on the Seat Leon SC CUPRA 280. It appears to be merely a jacked-up, crossover-styled version of the 3-door high performance hatchback, with a raised suspension, front bumper, LED daytime running lights, skid plates, body cladding, bigger wheels and a sleeker window profile.
Announcing the concept car, Seat said: “The SEAT Leon Cross Sport Show Car matches the Brand perfectly with its performance, dynamic Design and Crossover attitude and the urban lifestyle of our young spirited customers.” Before the Frankfurt Motor Show debut (2015 IAA), the concept car would likely be previewed to select audience at the Volkswagen Group Night tonight.
The 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show (2015 IAA) will also host public debut of the 2016 Leon CUPRA and 2016 Ibiza CUPRA. The 2016 Leon CUPRA features the same 2.0-litre turbocharged engine from MY2015, but with more power. The 2016 Seat Ibiza Cupra brings a major update with the previous 180PS (177 hp) 1.4-litre turbocharged engine getting replaced by a 192PS (189 hp) 1.8 TSI engine.
