Rendering – Skoda Fabia Cabriolet

Skoda Fabia Cabriolet Rendering

Here’s a rendering of as to how the Skoda Fabia would look if Skoda decided to manufacture a cabriolet. Skoda has been studying the possibility of developing a cabriolet version of its Fabia hatchback, but market research has revealed that there would be little demand for such a car outside of Europe.

The company may not be willing to risk such an exercise, considering the necessary investment required for such a project and parent company Volkswagen also doesn’t seem to be to keen on such a project, given that Audi’s smallest hatchback, the A1 will be getting a top-less version sometime in 2012.

The only option for Skoda if they decide to go ahead with the project of slicing the Fabia’s roof off and converting it into a cabriolet, wold be to work out a synergy with Audi, which would enable Skoda to share the technicalities and components of the A1′s convertible mechanism with the Skoda Fabia.
