Spied – Ssangyong Korondo C
The Ssanyong Korondo has been spied without camouflage and is in production-ready form. Based on the C200 concept revealed back in the 2008 Paris Motor Show, the Korondo’s styling is very much in-tune with what SUVs look like today.
The rear tail lamp and windshield resemble the Chevrolet Captiva’s styling. The dashboard is extremely simple and functional. You won’t have to study the manual to operate this vehicle.
The dimensions of the Ssangyong Korondo are not specified, but it looks like a compact SUV. Customers would love to have AWD option and semi-automatic transmissions. Female drivers are attracted to mini SUVs and they would like an automatic transmission in this car.
The concept car (C200 Eco) was unveiled with a 2.0 litre turbodiesel engine or 1.8 litre gasoline engine both outputting 175 hp. It debuted at the Seoul Motor Show last year and grabbed eye balls of show goers. It had green technology like start-stop system and a 340 volt battery pack and motors. Ssangyong could offer the Korondo as a hybrid SUV in the future once its owner is determined.
