Nissan has begun a long-term project to produce a VW Golf rival and regain ground, once occupied by the Nissan Almera and here is a rendering of the hatchback.
Nissan official -

The Qashqai and Juke will take sales in that market, but tackling it head on means building a car that is better than the VW Golf. That’s the challenge we have set ourselves. That project is a long term goal, but it is underway.</blockquote>
By 2013 , we should be seeing it around, hopefully. Let's wait and watch Nissan's engineers in action.]]></description>

<strong>Nissan</strong> will recall a total of <strong>76,415 </strong>cars in Japan across 10 models in Japan due to a manufacturing defect and more than 2,000 overseas due to a defect that may cause engine failure.

Around <strong>60,000 Daihatsu</strong> vehicles are being recalled due to faulty airbags that could accidentally inflate.

<strong>Suzuki</strong> is recalling <strong>4,32,000 </strong>vehicles of the 2005 to 2009 models of the Mazda Scrum which it makes in Japan because of a potential problem with air conditioning units.
