The three-row Lexus RX was confirmed for launch by Mr. Jeff Bracken, Lexus brand’s General Manager for the U.S. market earlier this month.
Now a fresh report from WardsAuto suggests that its launch is around the corner.
The brand is facing serious competition from rival offerings with the three-row seating configuration. In an interview with the website, Mr. Bracken expressed that his dealers are eagerly awaiting for the three-row crossover.
“Dealers are really focused on that (and) I would say if it’s not (their top complaint), it’s one of the most important misses from their perspective.”
Dealers have not missed noting how well rival brand Acura is doing with its three-row MDX. “(Dealers) see how well Acura is doing with their third row, so clearly there is a significant market that we’re not in,” said Mr. Bracken. As for its launch, Lexus “could make an announcement pretty soon,” he added.
The Toyota-owned luxury brand has announced that it’s bringing two updated models at the 65th Annual Pebble Beach Concourse d’Elegance that is to be held on August 16, one of which is not the three-row RX.
