TomTom (TOM2), the leading supplier of location and navigation products and services, has announced an agreement with Volkswagen to deliver the German automaker with maps for their in-dash navigation systems. The new “modular infotainment platform” (MIB II) infotainment system that will be introduced in North America in Q2 2015 will feature navigation with TomTom maps.
The new infotainment system featuring navigation with TomTom maps will be introduced across many models, including the Volkswagen Jetta, the Volkswagen Passat and the Volkswagen Beetle.

VOLKSWAGEN SELECTS TOMTOM MAPS – Press Release
London, 6 January 2015 – TomTom (TOM2) today announced an agreement to deliver maps to Volkswagen, one of the world’s leading car makers. Volkswagen will launch in-dash navigation systems with TomTom maps, starting with the new VW multimedia system in North America in Q2 2015. The system will be introduced across multiple car lines, including the Jetta, Passat and Beetle.
