Two Subaru models will be having world premiere at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show to be held next month. The first is an SUV called the Viziv Future Concept and the second is the Impreza 5-Door Concept.
Subaru Viziv Future Concept
The Viziv is Subaru’s future vision of car development that aims to provide “enjoyment and peace of mind” to customers. The company defines the exterior design as that which motivates the owner towards an active lifestyle. The design follows the Subaru Dynamic & Solid design theme imparting the Viziv with a three-dimensional solid form, in the process giving it a highly dense and sturdy appearance.
The interior has a dual-tone theme with contrasting beige and black shades interspersed with orange accents. A camera is also mounted on the instrument panel glare shield for monitoring the driver.
Power comes from a next-generation hybrid system that is an improvement over the one found in the XV Hybrid. The compact, lightweight, downsized turbo engine should aid for optimal power and efficiency. The concept features symmetrical AWD system.
Subaru Impreza 5-Door Concept
The Impreza 5-Door Concept is centred around the Dynamic & Solid theme that will be seen more in Subaru’s new generation models. The company claims the concept’s design has a dynamically sporty feel that heightens the anticipation of driving. Inspiration for the body design is taken from the next-generation Impreza that is envisaged in the company’s “Prominence 2020” vision. No photos have been released by the company yet, only some sketches are shown to give an idea about the design.
