The prices and specifications of the 2015 Ford Mustang for the UK were revealed earlier this year and according to a report by Auto Express, there’s a 12 months-long waiting list if customers order the car now. The Mustang is now available to order and Ford expects to sell 1,800 units of the vehicle annually. However, it appears the company has already found so many buyers for the pony car that one will now have to wait till mid-2016 to get the delivery. “Order one now and you will have to wait 12 months,” a Ford spokesman told the publication.
The Mustang will be sold with two engine options in the UK: a 2.3-litre EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder and a 5.0-litre naturally-aspirated V8. The EcoBoost motor develops 310 hp and 434 Nm of torque, while the V8 produces 412 hp and 524 Nm of torque. Customers can choose between a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox, which will transmit the power to the rear wheels of the car. Naturally, the Mustang will be sold as a RHD in the UK and compete with the BMW 4 Series, Audi A5 and the Nissan 370Z.
Noteworthy standard features in the car include 19-inch alloy wheels, performance brake package, xenon head-lights, LED tail lights, dual-zone climate control, 9-speaker sound system and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with voice control.
