UK: Aston Martin Lagonda gets £696,000 sticker price

August 18, 2015

The Aston Martin Lagondo has been priced at an astonishing £696,000 (US$1.08 million / €981,100) in the UK. The price was released on specialist dealer H.R. Owen’s website but was removed later on.

The Lagonda Taraf was initially sold only in the Middle East. However, at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show in March, Aston Martin announced that it had extended its availability to the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, Luxembourg, Monaco, Greece, Denmark, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, Ukraine, Russia, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and South Africa.

The ultimate luxury saloon is underpinned by the company’s VH architecture and inspired from the 1976 Lagonda designed by Williams Towns. It is powered by the same 6.0-litre V12 engine that is found in the Rapide S. This engine is capable of producing 550 bhp and allows the Lagonda to hit a top speed of 321 km/h. Power is sent to the rear wheels of the car by a 6-speed ZF automatic transmission.

Every Lagonda Taraf sold will be exclusive as it will be personalised via the company’s ‘Q by Aston Martin’ bespoke service. Like the One-77, V12 Zagato, Vulcan and Vantage GT3 special edition, the Lagonda Taraf will also have a limited production run, and only 200 units will be built.
