UK: 2016 Nissan Micra adds N-Tec trim level

August 27, 2015

Nissan has announced a new N-Tec trim level for the Micra in the UK. It will be positioned between the Acenta and Tekna trim levels, offering buyers additional features and value.

The Nissan Micra N-Tec is priced from £12,400 and is available for order now. It features the NissanConnect system with a 5.8-inch colour touchscreen. The infotainment system incorporates smartphone integration along with satellite navigation. It also adds the Google Send-To-Car feature, which enables the owner to plan a journey in advance, sending the instructions to the navigation in the car before the journey.

The N-Tec trim level also adds features like Parking Slot Measurement and Rear Parking Sensors. These two systems work together to help the driver find a suitable parking space. The Parking Slot Measurement feature measures vacant slots suitable for parking, assisting the driver via a display mounted on the dashboard. The feature can also be adjusted according to the driver’s skill – amateur, normal or expert.

The interiors feature the use of gloss black finish for the centre console along with unique blue stitching on the leather-wrapped steering wheel and automatic climate control.

Engine options include an entry-level 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 80PS (79 hp) and a supercharged 1.2-litre DIG-S engine that develops 98PS (97 hp). Transmission options include a 5-speed manual gearbox and a CVT gearbox.
