Porsche has launched the Black Edition of the Cayman featuring a black paint finish and a partial black leather interior with more standard features. The cost of this sports coupe in UK is £45,989 and €82,767 in Ireland.
On the outside, the Black Edition gets 20-inch Carrera Classic wheels covered with wide profile tyres, Bi-Xenon headlights equipped with PDLS (Porsche Dynamic Light System) and optional aluminium window trims.
Standard equipment includes CDR audio system with 7-inch colour touchscreen, universal audio interface with MP3 support, auto stop/start, tyre pressure monitoring system and Porsche Stability Management (PSM). Equipment unique to the Black Edition are Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with satellite navigation (featuring real-time traffic information), automatic anti-dazzle rear view mirrors, rain sensor, cruise control, front and rear Park Assist and a Sport Design steering wheel.
Comfort level has been further enhanced by a two-zone climate control system, heated seats and Bluetooth phone connectivity. A high-quality audio system can also be optioned with the Sound Package Plus.
The driving force behind the Black Cayman is the 2.7-liter flat-six engine producing 275 hp that enables the coupe to hit 60 mph from standstill in 5.4 seconds with the 6-speed manual and 0.1 second quicker with the PDK automatic unit.
Buyers of the Cayman Black Edition will also be given a complimentary course at the Porsche Experience Centre in Silverstone to help them explore the performance on tap.
