Toyota UK has announced two new Yaris Hybrid hatchback models in the UK – Active and Sport.
The Hybrid Active model features include dual zone climate control, powered front windows, trip computer and split folding seats. Under the hood, there’s a 1.5 litre 16 valve DOHC with VVT-i engine and an electric motor that produce a combined output of 100 hp. The hybrid powertrain is coupled to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). With this configuration, the Yaris Hybrid Active can reach 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 11.8 seconds and hit a top speed of 103 mph (166 km/h).
The Hybrid Sport variant in addition to the features mentioned above, gets rear privacy glass, rear spoiler, rear power windows, reversing camera, Toyota Touch 2 infotainment system with touch screen controls, DAB radio and Bluetooth. The Sport model also features an option of a panoramic sunroof costing £550 and get 16-inch alloy wheels as standard.
The Hybrid Active’s fuel economy and CO2 emissons figures are marked at of 85.6 mpg (30.30 km/l) and 75 g/km respectively. The Hybrid Sport due to the larger wheels, has its fuel economy and CO2 emissions figures marked at 78.5 mpg (27.79 km/l) and 82g/km respectively.
The Hybrid Active and the Hybrid Sport models are now on sale in the UK. The Hybrid Active model is priced at £14,995 and the Hybrid Sport model is priced at £16,695.
