November 6, 2015

The first Rolls-Royce Dawn headed for the U.S. market will be auctioned for charity at the 2016 Naples Winter Wine Festival scheduled to take place from January 29 to January 31.

The Dawn making its way to the event is specifically commissioned for it and boasts of some distinctive touches to make it special. The exterior is colored in Artic White and has a red coach line, the roof will also have a Deep Red color. The interior will be done in Artic White and contrasted by a Consort Red interior finish. Rolls-Royce says that on the inside, the quality of leather is the “finest in the world” and Santos Palisander Canadel Paneling (a finish of Indian Rosewood) is used to line up the front fascia, doors and back deck. The exclusivity of this model will also be conveyed through custom door sill plate that will feature the winning bid from the auction.

Powering the Dawn will be the same engine seen under the bonnet of the Wraith. That is a 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12 producing 563 bhp and 575 lb.-ft. (780 Nm) of torque. The Dawn is loaded with technologies for convenience and safety. It has satellite-aided transmission, night vision and color heads-up display.

This custom model will be starting at approximately US$3,35,000 but is valued at more than US$4,00,000. Sharing his thoughts about this special Rolls-Royce Dawn, Torsten Müller-Ӧtvӧs, CEO, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars said: “I couldn’t think of a more fitting way to celebrate the first new Rolls-Royce Dawn for North America than through this auction. Dawn is the sexiest and most social Rolls-Royce we’ve ever designed and the NWWF epitomizes the social life of our owners. We are proud to make the introduction at this event and help benefit children in need.”
