USA: 2015 Nissan Sentra becomes IIHS “Top Safety Pick” vehicle

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) of U.S. has given the “Top Safety Pick” rating to the 2015 Nissan Sentra. This safety rating is given only to passenger vehicles that show outstanding performance in protecting passengers in moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraint tests, and achieve a “Good” or “Acceptable” rating in the small overall front test.

Every MY2015 Nissan Sentra sold includes a number of essential safety features as standard, such as, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD), Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) with Traction Control System (TCS), energy absorbing steering column and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

Nissan Advanced Air Bag System (AABS) is also standard across the range. Nissan AABS includes dual-stage supplemental front airbags with seat belt and occupant classification sensors; front seat-mounted side impact supplemental air bags; roof-mounted curtain side impact supplemental air bags for front and rear-seat outboard occupant head protection. Three-point front and rear seatbelts, front seat belts with pre-tensioners and load limiters and adjustable upper anchors; and lower anchors and tethers for children are also standard.
