Nissan has announced prices of the 2016 Nissan GT-R in the U.S. The MY2016 GT-R is now on sale at select Nissan dealers. The prices for all three models – Premium, Black Edition and Nismo- are remaining unchanged from last year.
The VR38DETT 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine on the Premium and Black Edition models now produce 550 hp, 5 hp more than the 2015 models. The company says that this improvement is the result of fine-tuning of the engine electronics. The Nismo model continues to produce 600 hp. The Premium model gets new 20-spoke RAYS aluminum-alloy forged wheels with premium dark (near dark) finish.
The company has also announced the new 45th Anniversary Gold Edition for the U.S. This special edition was first announced in November 2014 in Japan, where sales of the same commenced in February 2015. Like Japan, the special edition is based on the Premium model and features a special gold “Silica Brass” exterior color which was also seen on the Skyline GT-R M-Spec (R34 Type).
Inside, the celebration edition gets a special golden color plaque on the lower part of the center console. Another unique feature of the limited edition is a gold-tone VIN plate inside the engine compartment. 45 units have been alloted for Japan but U.S. will get only 30 units of the same.
