Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has announced that the fourth generation Caddy Life along with its long-wheelbase versions Maxi Life, Maxi Kombi and the Max Window vans are now available for order and that their deliveries will begin in September.
The above mentioned models will also feature the comfort, safety and convenience features seen on the Caddy Panel van. This includes an infotainment system with DAB radio, Bluetooth, day time running lamps, cruise control, post collision braking, city emergency braking, brake assist and heated windscreen. The new model lineup will also feature modifications made to the BlueMotion technology for added economy.
The Caddy Life and Maxi Life variants will feature additional equipment along with the above mentioned standard equipment like Park Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC).
The Caddy Life variant offers flexible seating and can accommodate up to seven passengers. The rear seats have the capability of being folded or double folded. They can be completely removed to liberate 3,030 litres of load space. The Caddy Maxi Life adds an additional 420mm in length liberating an additional 340 litres of space and making available 3,370 litres of load space.
All variants feature a Euro 6-compliant 2.0 litre TDI engine in two outputs – 102 PS (100 hp) and 150 PS (147 hp). The 102 PS (100 hp) engine delivers a combined fuel economy of up to 65.7 mpg (23.26 km/l). Its CO2 emissions figure is marked at 114g/km of CO2.
The short wheelbase Caddy Life with the 2.0 litre TDI 102 PS (100 hp) engine is priced from £15,600; the Caddy Maxi Life variant with similar configuration starts from £17,985. The new Caddy Maxi Kombi is priced from £17,510 for the 102 PS (100 hp) engine version, while the new Caddy Maxi Window van will be priced from £17,185 for the 102 PS (100 hp) engine version.
