Volkswagen has bagged the International Engine of the Year award for the second year running with the same 1.4 liter TSI 4 cylinder engine winning the award this year too. This motor powers cars like the Golf, Jetta & Tiguan.

Fiat’s 1.4 liter MultiAir engine that powers cars like the Mito & Giulitta won the award for the best New Engine of the Year while the Green Engine award went to Toyota’s 1.8 liter Hybrid that powers the Prius.
Best engine above 4.0 liter & best performance engine went to Mercedes’ AMG 6.2 liter V8 unit. In the 2.0 – 2.5 liter category Audi took the honors with the 2.5 liter 5 cylinder turbo that powers the TT RS bagging the prize.
